REGULATIONS

The Wonder France Festival is an international festival that rewards the best travel & tourism audiovisual creations shot around the world by independent videographers and tourism professionals.

The Wonder France Festival features two streams of competition: INDEPENDENT and INDUSTRY.

As part of the“INDÉPENDENT“competition, independent filmmakers can submit unsponsored programs in the following categories: “Best Discovery Video”, “Best Experience Video”, “Best Documentary”, “Best Vlog Video”, “Best Drone Video” and “Best Responsible Travel Video”.

The Festival is hosted on the official Wonder France Festival website: www.wonderfrancefestival.com

1° Organizer

The “Wonder France Festival” (hereinafter referred to as “the Festival”) is organized by Youtuberlink (hereinafter referred to as “the Organizer”), registered in the Bordeaux Trade and Companies Register under no. 848 024 592, headquartered at 8, cours du XXX juillet 33000 Bordeaux, represented by Mathieu LAURENT, its president.

2° Festival dates

The Wonder France Festival will run from June 01, 2023 to October 04, 2023.

  • Registration for the Wonder France Festival is open from June 01, 2023 at 12:00 pm to September 01, 2023 at 11:59 pm, French time and date (mainland France), via the organizer’s website (www.wonderfrancefestival.com).
  • Voting for the People’s Choice Award will take place on our partner’s website www.petitfuté.fr from September 18 at 12pm to October 29 at midnight.
  • The awards ceremony will take place on October 04 at Paris Porte de Versailles during the IFTM trade show.

3° Eligibility criteria

Registration for the Festival implies express and unreserved acceptance of the present rules.

Rights holder : The Wonder France Festival invites participants to submit original and creative programs in which the participant (1), as part of the INDEPENDENT competition, holds or controls the rights to the program.

Shooting locations The videos may have been shot anywhere in the world, except where prohibited by law.

3° Video length : Videos must be no shorter than 1 minute and no longer than 30 minutes.

Video production dates: Eligible videos must have been broadcast, published and/or distributed for the first time on or after January 1, 2022.

Videos submitted to other festivals: Programs already submitted to other festivals or competitions will be accepted.

6° Videos in production: Partial programs or programs in progress will not be accepted.

7° Opening to entries : The INDEPENDENT competition is open to any creator/filmmaker, amateur or professional, production company, who has created a program related to “travel” embodying the objectives and spirit of the festival.

8° Languages: Programs can be produced in any language, but those not in French must be subtitled in English.

Deadlines : All applications will be accepted from June 01, 2023 (from 12:00 pm Paris time) to September 01, 2023 (until 11:59 pm Paris time). Nominees for the official selection will be officially announced on September 15, 2023. Winners will be notified of the results on October 4, 2023 and will be available on the Festival website on October 5, 2023.

10° Legal authorizations: Anyone who has submitted a program or whose program has been selected undertakes to obtain all licenses, copyrights and permissions necessary to ensure that the programs submitted will be presented in a legal and ethical manner, at the IFTM show, online on the festival’s website and social platforms and on the websites and social platforms of the festival’s partners.

11° Rights of exhibition and promotion: By entering this competition, the entrant confirms that he/she has permission or owns the rights to broadcast and that he/she grants the organizer, the festival and its partners limited rights to broadcast the Program on all Platforms. The Parties shall have the right to use all or part of a Participant’s Program to promote, market and advertise the festival on all Platforms, any third-party distribution and social platforms (digital networks, streaming networks, cable networks, television networks, airlines, cruise lines, hotels and airports, among others), including, but not limited to, any promotional video created by the festival and shown at IFTM 2023.

12° Invalidity of participation: Participation in the contest is void where prohibited by law.

4° TERMS OF PARTICIPATION

The participant must complete a full registration form for each program submitted.

A participant may enter as many programs as he or she wishes, subject to the following restrictions:

  • Participants must submit their program to the appropriate category.
  • If the Organizer considers that a program does not correspond to the chosen category, the program may be reassigned to another category or rejected.

Contributions must be hosted on one of the following video platforms (YouTube.com, Vimeo.com or DailyMotion.com) and a link to this video must be provided as part of the submission process.

For all entries, once submitted, the video may not be removed from this platform before September 15, 2023. For all nominees and winners, the nominated or winning video cannot be removed from this platform before October 4, 2023.

All participants must be aged 18 or over. All entrants must have proper identification to prove their age if they are selected as nominees and/or winners and to receive a cash prize or invitations to the IFTM Show.

The selection committee reserves the right to exceptionally select videos that do not strictly meet the above-mentioned criteria.

Participants must follow the online procedures to submit a video electronically. Videos submitted that do not work or are not understandable for any reason will result in disqualification from participation. If any part of the submission process (completing the online entry form and submitting the video) is not completed correctly by the September 4, 2023 deadline, the entrant will be disqualified from the competition. In the event of a problem with the submission process, the Festival can be contacted by e-mail at contact@wonderfrancefestival.com. Parties will not be responsible for late, misdirected, lost or corrupted submissions that are not received, available or accepted for judging.

5° Registration fees

Entries in the “INDEPENDENT” category are free of charge.

6°Pvaluation process

1Evaluation criteria: Entries are evaluated according to the following criteria: Originality, creativity, technique.

2° Jury: An independent jury made up of image, tourism and travel professionals will evaluate each project, and the festival team will break down the votes if necessary.

3° Public voting: Visitors to the Le Petit Futé website can vote once for any program once they have registered at www.petitfute.com . In the event of a problem with the voting process, the Festival team can be contacted by e-mail at contact@wonderfrancefestival.com.

5TH PRIZE

Award levels: The jury will, at its sole discretion, review the evaluation forms and determine the final ranking and award level for each winning entry, as follows: INDEPENDENT Contest: Best video in each category. All winners will be honored at an awards ceremony during IFTM 2023. Jury awards are based on the individual merit of a project, and the jury’s decision is final.

Each winning candidate will receive a trophy at IFTM 2023. All nominees and winners will receive a digital badge that can be used on the nominees’ and/or winners’ website and/or social platforms.

Eligibility and prize-giving ceremony: To be eligible as a winner, the participant must attend the prize-giving ceremony (for winners residing in France), otherwise another participant will be selected as the winner in that respective category. All winners are required to attend the prize-giving ceremony (except winners from foreign countries). All winners may be accompanied by one (1) guest. If a program owner is unable to attend, another representative of the program team may be sent to represent the bid. All winners (and one guest in the “INDEPENDANT” category) will receive a free ticket to the show (IFTM).

6° EXTENSION, MODIFICATION OR CANCELLATION RESERVE

The Organizer reserves the right to shorten, extend, modify or cancel the Festival, if circumstances so require or in the event of force majeure. It cannot be held liable in this respect.

Additions to these rules may be published during the Festival. They will be considered as annexes to the present rules accepted by the Participant at the time of registration.

7° INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY AND FREEDOM

All information provided by the Participant when registering for the Festival is intended for use by the Organizer.

Subject to the provisions of article 3-11 and unless Participants expressly request otherwise, the Organizer will therefore be the sole recipient of nominative information provided by Participants in the Festival registration form. The contact details of Participants and prizewinners will be processed in accordance with the provisions of law no. 78-17 of January 6, 1978 relating to information technology, files and civil liberties.

8°GUARANTEES

1°Intellectual property rights

All Participants declare that they are the lawful owners of all reproduction, representation and broadcasting rights to their Video, without condition or reservation, and guarantee that they have obtained all necessary authorizations for the above-mentioned broadcasts. In this respect, the Organizer wishes to point out that the use, even partial, of musical works or other pre-existing works in a Video requires the authorization of the copyright holders.

At the Organizer’s first request, the Participant must provide the Organizer with the necessary authorizations from the beneficiaries.

Each Participant also undertakes not to copy, even partially, an existing model or to display any distinctive sign (in particular trademark, design, etc.) and to comply with copyright laws (articles L.111-1 et seq. of the French Intellectual Property Code).

Each Participant is personally responsible for all agreements necessary for the production and communication of his or her Video(s) and guarantees that he or she has taken responsibility for all authorizations from any individual and/or legal entity having participated directly or indirectly in the production, realization, promotion and/or exploitation of his or her Video (and, in particular, its authors, directors, performers, co-producers, composers, musicians, publishers, technicians and/or other partners and/or beneficiaries).

At the Organizer’s first request, the Participant must provide it with the necessary authorizations from the above-mentioned persons.

In this respect, each Participant guarantees the Organizer against any claim or action and/or payment that may be made and/or claimed on any grounds whatsoever by the beneficiaries and/or persons referred to in the present article 3/11, as well as by any natural person and/or legal entity who has not participated in the production of the Video but who considers that it has any rights whatsoever (in particular personality rights, rights to trademarks, logos, signs, etc.) to assert in respect of the production and exploitation of the Video.

2° Image rights and privacy

Participants undertake not to contravene the provisions concerning image rights and privacy (article 9 of the French Civil Code) and, more generally, all legislative and regulatory provisions in force.

Participants must therefore personally ensure the agreement of the person(s) filmed, or their parents or legal guardian in the case of a minor, before the Video in which this person(s) appears can be put online, as well as acceptance of the conditions of the present rules.

3° General warranty

As a consequence of the aforementioned provisions, the Participant guarantees that he/she is the valid holder of the rights assigned in article 3 above, as well as of all authorizations required for the aforementioned uses. He thus guarantees the Organizer against any claim or action by a third party relating to the Video broadcast.

The Organizer may not be held liable in the event of a claim by a third party, and the said Participant undertakes to bear all the harmful consequences that may result, for the Organizer, from the use, for any purpose whatsoever, of the Video that he or she has transmitted within the framework of the Festival as being his or her own creation.

Notwithstanding the foregoing, each Participant expressly guarantees to the Organizer the free and peaceful exercise of the rights granted and in particular :

  • that it has full power and authority to grant the rights hereby assigned, and that such rights are not and shall not be in any way and exclusively mortgaged, pledged, encumbered with any easement whatsoever, or vested in any third party;
  • that it has not done and will not do, through a transfer to a third party or by any other means, any act likely to compromise the present authorization, or likely to prevent or hinder the full enjoyment of the rights granted to the Organizer, or any third party of their free choice under the conditions set out in article 3 above;
  • that it does not introduce into the Video any reproduction or reminiscence likely to infringe the rights of third parties and give rise to attacks for plagiarism and/or counterfeiting;
  • that, to its knowledge, no litigation or legal action is pending or about to be instituted with respect to the rights assigned to the Organizer hereunder.

Participants are personally liable both to third parties and to the Organizer for failure to comply with the foregoing stipulations, and shall indemnify the Organizer against any and all claims, demands or actions that may result from such failure to comply. Participants shall be personally responsible for and liable for any payments due or claimed from the Organizer in this respect.

    9° LIABILITY

    the Organizer may not under any circumstances be held responsible, without this list being limitative:

    • The content of Videos transmitted by Participants and viewed on the Site;
    • The transmission and/or reception of any data and/or information on the Internet;
    • Any malfunction of the Internet network preventing the smooth running of the Festival;
    • Failure of any receiving equipment or communication lines;
    • The loss of all paper or electronic mail and, more generally, the loss of all data;
    • Routing problems;
    • The operation of all software ;
    • The consequences of any virus, computer bug, anomaly or technical failure;
    • Any damage caused to a Festival Participant’s computer;
    • Any technical, hardware or software failure of any nature whatsoever that prevents or limits participation in the Festival or damages a Participant’s system.

    In accordance with the provisions of Article 9 above, the Organizer may in no case be held liable for any infringement of the rights of third parties by the Videos.

    In accordance with the French law on confidence in the digital economy of June 21, 2004, in the event of a judicial requisition or claims by rights holders, the Organizer and/or its partner will be obliged to remove the Videos in question. The Organizer and/or the Partner will contact the Internet users concerned.

    10° DISPUTES

    These rules are governed by French law.

    In the event of difficulties in interpreting the rules or in the event of a dispute, the French courts in the city of Bordeaux shall have sole jurisdiction.
